Course Overview

Safety Management Systems are the operational core of ICAO Annex 19 and EASA Part-ORO.GEN.200, requiring every EASA-regulated organisation to run a formal, proactive system for managing safety risk.

This two-day course gives safety managers, accountable managers, post holders and SMS implementation teams a working command of the four SMS components and the practical tools to build, run or strengthen an SMS.

  • Safety Policy & Objectives
  • Safety Risk Management — hazard identification and risk assessment

Day 2

  • Safety Assurance — safety performance monitoring, SPIs/SPTs, internal evaluation
  • Safety Promotion — safety culture, communication and training
  • Workshop: building an SMS implementation roadmap
  • Written assessment and certification
