Course Overview
Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 is the operative rule for commercial and non-commercial air operations across the EASA system. This course walks participants through its full architecture — from the Basic Regulation and the EASA rulemaking process down to the operative Annexes — so that compliance monitoring, quality and operational staff can interpret the regulation correctly and apply it to their own organisation's exposition and manuals.
Delivered by an experienced auditor and Air Operations expert, the course favours practical application over rote reading: every session is anchored to real operational and audit scenarios drawn from Part-ORO, Part-CAT, Part-SPA, Part-NCC, Part-NCO and Part-SPO.

Learning Outcomes
- Explain the legal structure of the EASA system: the Basic Regulation, Implementing Rules, and Acceptable Means of Compliance / Guidance Material (AMC/GM).
- Navigate the Annexes of Regulation (EU) 965/2012 (I-VIII) and identify which Parts apply to a given operation type.
- Interpret Part-ORO organisation requirements, including the management system and compliance monitoring function.
- Apply Part-CAT operational requirements to commercial air transport activities.
- Identify Part-SPA specific approvals relevant to the operator.
- Distinguish the scope of Part-NCC, Part-NCO and Part-SPO for non-commercial and specialised operations.
- Map an Operations Manual against the regulation to identify compliance gaps ahead of an audit.
